When it comes to packing for holiday travel, I find it helpful to keep a few strategies in mind. First, focus on things you can mix and match. I try to avoid packing pieces that can only be worn with one outfit and rely on versatile separates—unless your special occasion calls for a dress, of course. Next, remember to pack cozy layers. You just never know when you might end up bunking with a family member that prefers the thermostat set to a balmy 30 degrees. Lastly, go for comfortable favorites. You’ll feel more in the mood for celebrating if you’re not concentrating a too-short hem or constricting waistband. All in all, opt for easy ensembles that show your true colors.
