Rosie Huntington-Whiteley aces the street style game like she reigns the catwalk. Here, she shows us how to style a pair of acid wash denim with a tucked-in plaid shirt and classic black blazer. For a look that works day to night, uptown to downtown, fall in love with this street style hit then make it yours.

The striped trench coat

Back to stripes! My only excuses to show you this rather old revived (S/S 2012) runway inspired trench coat trend is because of  my love for Burberry trench coats and because of my love for anything striped!

Also, since I’m more than halfway through winter and slowly transitioning into trench coat weather, I wanted to give you an idea on how to update your outerwear for the upcoming springtime.

The moto vest

Gear-up with this season’s pièce de résistance: the moto vest. Layered under jackets, on top of maxis, and even perfectly placed atop your favourite tees, this piece brings a touch of downtown ease to any ensemble.

These butter-soft, biker-inspired vests make the ideal addition to any perfectly undone menswear-inspired look.

Think: Button-down shirt tucked into slim cut denim and ankle booties, or go timeless day-to-night by styling everyday black trousers, simple heels and a top knot.

Animal print garments. How to wear them.

This fall, fashion’s feeling feline with a taste for wild prints. Leopard print is adorning everything from coats, to clutches and moccasins adding an animal edge to your new season wardrobe.

Rosalía – Ma petite valise blog

The easiest way to work something bold like animal prints into a look is with accessories. Accenting a simple suit or shift dress with a snakeskin-embossed heel can add a lot of personality to a look. Another easy add-on is eyewear. Fashion has long embraced leather detailing, but this season we’re seeing some really fun python frames.

Raquel Martín – My fashionable world

There’s such a ’70s-glam feel about them.  Jewelry is also a great way to bring in some wild-inspired energy to your ensemble. Molded metal scales, feathers, and talon motifs get the point across in a small, but impactful way.

Consider these accessories to be an investment. Exotics can sometimes come with a steeper price point, but they will prove to be wardrobe essentials for years to come.

Style tips: how to wear camouflage

Dear friend, have you been tempted by the camouflage pieces you’ve been seeing lately? Here are some tips to wear the look without looking like you’re off to hunt with the boys.

Camouflage sends a clear, decisive style message when worn well, but it’s a tricky print to work with. I have three general tips to keep your look rooted in fashion, not forest.

KEEP IT BALANCED
Balance the masculine look of camouflage with figure-flattering, solid color separates. Pair an oversized jacket back to cutoff shorts. With a utility pant, try a tight henley and a shrunken denim jacket. Fitted denim, shorts, and tight tees all have a place in great camouflage looks.

LOOK TO THE PAST
So many iconic looks have come out of punk, grunge and hippie culture. Look to these movements for some spot-on inspiration. Try an unexpected combo, like camouflage with eyelet or thermal, or go for a rock-chic look with low-rise skinny pants and a camouflage button-down shirt. Just remember to inject something personal so you avoid a costumed feeling.

BE CREATIVE
Keep your mind open and get in the spirit of invention! It’s amazing how versatile this motif can be. You might find that your camouflage shirt is a perfect match for a favorite wool pencil skirt or your sequin T-shirt. Add a piece of fun costume jewelry and you’re set!
