Julie Macklowe es una «socialite» imprescindible en cualquier fiesta o gala neoyorkina que se precie. En estas fotos en las que se prepara para asistir a la gala anual del MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art) que este año 2011 se ha organizado en homenaje a Alexander McQueen la vemos luciendo este fabuloso vestido, uno de mis favoritos. Personalmente esta bloguera que os escribe, hubiera elegido este modelo de la última colección del diseñador – con sus pertinentes reinterpretaciones y/o modificaciones «ad hoc»– como vestido de novia en lugar del que lució Kateti Katie Middleton diseñado por Sarah Burton, sucesora al frente de la firma que presuntamente se inspiró en el modelito de Belén Esteban Princesa del Pueblo de los Garrulos (Señorita Puri dixit). A su lado Julie Stemerman, otra gran «it woman» habitual de los eventos made in NYC lleva otro McQueen en chiffon de la colección Resort 2010, que también lució la bellísima Mila Kunis en la edición 2011 de los SAG Awards.

Kate Middleton’s sister Philippa Middleton was the bridesmaid. She also wore an Alexander McQueen dress which was designed and created by Sarah Burton. The ivory satin-based crepe dress with a cowl front has the same button detail and lace trims as the Bride’s dress.
Pippa’s dress is similar in style to the red Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2009 dress Cameron Diaz wore to the 2010 Golden Globe Awards.
