Belt Knots

I’ve really been enjoying knotting my belts recently… Well, I’m not so sure what else you are supposed to do with that long bit of leather, but trying a knot with it creates a fun bit of texture to an outfit.

Creative knots add a certain cool-girl je ne sais quoi. Style is in the details, and in this world of personal touches, a basic buckled belt just won’t do anymore. Below you’ll find a few ideas on how to master the unique knot.

Beanies

According to catwalks, we found that slouchy knit beanies are the newest trend for the fall season.  It’s also getting cold out there, so make sure to break out the hats to stay warm. As seen on a few celebrities on the streets being fashionable, I have realized this nonchalant head piece can quickly pull together any look. By choosing the more relaxed looking hats we won’t be stuck with flat hat hair. These accessories are easy to wear and shop for.  Also, you can simply wear them with just about anything!  I’ve compiled some great looks below, check them out and start getting ready for winter!

I love this idea of throwing on a stylish beanie on my way out the door.  Are you feeling the new beanie trend?

Jeanne Damas style keys

It’s easier said than done to look, well, undone. But Paris-based blogger Jeanne Damas knows exactly how to achieve that style in outfits that are chic and polished without trying too hard. Even if you don’t understand the language of love—Damas’ blog is written entirely in her native French—you’ll find that her imagery alone provides an endless stream of inspiration. She’s also a model by day, so you’ll not only find outfit photos, but also peeks at recent ad campaigns she’s appeared in and other snapshots of her fashionably full life!

While Damas isn’t one to follow fleeting trends, her look is indisputably modern. Her sensibilities lean toward the cool and casual; after all, a number of her ensembles incorporate some kind of denim piece. But she adds a little flair to each outfit, whether through a brightly colored scarf, a pair of glamorous yellow heels, or a standout shaggy coat. Topped off with her signature beauty look—slightly messy, bed-head hair and fresh-faced makeup—Damas pulls off a totally original style.
