Model Natalia Vodianova and designer Valentino Garavani hosted the “White Fairy Tale” Love Ball on Wednesday, on the final night of Paris Haute Couture, at Valentino’s Chateau de Wideville estate outside Paris. One hundred percent of the event’s proceeds go to benefit the Naked Heart Foundation, a Russian non-profit that provides safe playgrounds for underprivileged children in Russian cities, in addition to aid for the parents of children with special needs.
And fashion royalty Margherita Missoni was also looking gawgeous in a white and silver gown, as she arrived with friends Tatiana Santo (middle, wearing Valentino Haute Couture S/S ’11) and Eugenie Niarchos (right, wearing Valentino Haute Couture dress from S/S ’09).
Julia Restoin Roitfeld, meanwhile, adhered to the white and silver theme in a simple, figure-hugging white dress with fluted shoulders, which she paired with a silver clutch. Pweeetty.
Julia’s mother Carine Roitfeld looked just as elegant a her daughter in haute couture Givenchy by Ricardo Tisci. She’s in the pic with the great Mario Testino
No surprise here either: Olivia Palermo looked completely beautiful in shimmering silver by Valentino Haute Couture, S/S ’09, which she paired with a dramatic feather clutch. >sigh<
Eva Herzigova, meanwhile, flouted the white and silver dress code (naughty!) saying ‘it’s good to be different. We’ve just had Kate Middleton’s wedding, Kate’s and Charlene’s [Wittstock]. I would have felt like a bride’. Fair point, and she does look absolutely gorgeous in her draped black gown, right?
The coolest outfit, Stella Tennant donned Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel haute couture S/S ’11 for the event.
Also pushing the white and silver dress code to it’s very limit was the lovely stylist Caroline Sieber, in a sheer white blouse and ribbed high waisted shorts, which she paired with a jewelled ball clutch and gold collar necklace.
Anna Dello Russo: Despite the veil Anna seems to be toning down the dramatics somewhat. The editor wore a Roberto Cavalli white sweetheart neckline Roberto Cavalli mermaid gown with an embellished skirt. I’m glad these Cavalli creations are not just limited to Cannes Film Festival.
Bianca Brandolini d’Adda: The Italian socialite opted for a stunning white tiered dress from one of my favourite Valentino collections; the Spring 2007 Couture collection. Which her messy plait thrown over one-shoulder she carried a Charlotte Olympia Pandora plexiglas clutch. As she’s BFFs with Olivia Palermo I wonder if they got dressed together and Olivia loaned her this clutch for the night.
